Bizzaro is the kind of place that could be your favorite weekly restaurant for five years and you could still be noticing new things about the food/ambiance on you 79th visit. The interior is very well done and exhudes a feeling of someone's forgotten Italian mama's attic gone awry. The food is always good and, if you're lucky, the maitre d' will sing to you (you never know...)

The style of Bizzarro, both in terms of decoration and service, is self-conscious in its attempt to be odd and remarkable. Somehow, it all works wonderfully. This is a great place to go on a first date. The decor will provide material to fill in any awkward lulls in the conversation. The tables are close together, but there is enough activity to provide privacy.
The food is carefully prepared and delicious. The ravioli is always tempting, but be prepared to receive a small portion, as it is handmade. No problem -- more room left for dessert or the special port of the day.

Yum. Just looking at the menu made my stomach growl. I adore this restaurant with it's lively decor, wonderful food, excellent wine list and top-notch service. It's the perfect place to go with a friend and enjoy a bottle of wine and dazzlingly good pasta.
I have to remark on the service. The staff at Bizzaro have achieved that perfect level of attentiveness. Never pushy or in the way, yet always avaiable when you need them, it makes for a perfect dining experience. You really get to enjoy the food without worrying about making chit-chat with a waiter or waitress who seems more intent on securing a good tip than providing true service.
The small restaurant makes for cozy seating at times -- all the better to be closer to your food. Wonderful pasta and excellent sauces burst with flavor and delight the senses. I'm not kidding when I say my mouth is watering right now at the thought of the last dish I sampled from there. Rich with the flavors of garlic and wine, I didn't even try to eat with my customary lady-like grace. I ate with gusto, using great chunks of gorgeous bread so scoop up every drop of the wonderful sauce. A wonderful experience all around. I can't wait to go back.
