The fresh pastries and professional coffee make this truly a wonderful place to start your morning. Either at the 1st Ave Macrina or the one on Queen Anne, it is a great place to meet friends. It feels warm, European!?! Yeah that is it. Anyhow, if you are a true espresso fan, try their mocha. It is delightfully not too sweet but still chocolatey (is that a word?). I had a berry muffin this morning, yum.
