I've been to Tulio many times for its delicious dinner and brunch, but also chose to host my rehearsal dinner for my wedding here and was so pleased. In addition to the elegant dining room, Tulio has a beautiful room for events upstairs with the same dark woodwork and lighting. The staff worked closely with my husband and father-in-law to create the perfect menu and evening for us and for our 50 guests. For the main course, our guests had a choice of the roasted breast of chicken or the risotto zafferano with sea scallops, both of which were delicious. The whole evening was complemented with wine from Tulio's superb list. Since then I've been back many times for my two favorite dishes: the smoked salmon ravioli and the sweet potato gnocchi. In a city where everyone's focused on new restaurant openings, don't forget this gem in the heart of Seattle.

Tulio is located at the base of Downtown's plush Hotel Vintage Park, and its elegant decor echoes that of the old hotel. The food, on the other hand, is a decidedly modern take on Italian favorites - your favorite gnocchi come as an appetizer made of sweet potatoes, and crisp on the outside - they're fried with sage butter!
Along with the reliably excellent food Tulio offers an extensive wine list and such nonalcoholic delights as blackberry lemonade.
One of the best times to visit Tulio is at breakfast; it's one of the few places downtown that serves a full meal, and an impressive meal, at that. It's an ideal location for a.m. meetings.
